Thoroughly Modern Millie has been described as "not only the perfect show for
fans of wacky and wonderful musical theatre, but also a near perfect family show"
Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of a small-town girl, Millie Dillmount,
who is determined to take New York by storm and marry for money instead of
love - this is 1922 after all, the age of the 'flappers' and women getting jobs.
Her search for fortune lands her at the Hotel Priscilla for single women,
where she makes a friend, Miss Dorothy, but also meets the decidedly
strange proprietress, Mrs Meers.
She is plunged into a series of adventures, including getting a job, landing
in jail, and saving Miss Dorothy from the clutches of the sinister Mrs M. .
